Our Cruise
Our cruise starts from the Waterfront in Walvis Bay. Experience the cruise in luxury, style and comfort, continuing into the beautiful bay area, which holds more beauty than the eye can see – a shipwreck, lighthouse and oyster farms. Proceed to the ever growing Pelican Point to have a closer look at the lighthouse and where a large seal colony of Cape Fur Seals have established themselves.
This offers you the advantage of viewing the seals while you are the centre of attraction for them as well and experience the thrill of seals who will join you on the boat. Moving around Pelican Point, you will be highly exhilarated to see dolphins riding the bow of your boat.
Afterwards, just relax on the boat and enjoy a complimentary glass of sparkling wine with fresh oysters and snacks. The duration of the tour is approximately 3 hours.
Our Vessels
All our boats are Catamarans with toilets onboard for your convenience. Having such variety in our fleet, we are geared for any group of clients.
Our latest addition, Miandri – Queen of the Ocean, seats up to 40 people with comfort.
She is 14 meters long and has plenty of space to walk around with front and top deck. Next in line is Ocean Lady, a Powered Lee Cat that seats 30 people, also with walk around and front deck space.
Our Fleet
We do FREE transfers for our clients from their location in Mile 4, Swakopmund or Long Beach to and from Walvis Bay. These transfers are at no Extra cost.
Our Crew
All our Skippers are fully qualified & our Guides administers the tours in German, English & Afrikaans.
All of them are trained in First Aid and comply with the necessary regulations and requirements as set out by the DMA. Each hold their certificate of Competence.
Marine Dune Day Combo
The Marine Dune Day Combo Tour offers you the best of both worlds. We kick off early morning with a breathtaking Marine Cruise and spoil you with the world-renowned Dunes in the afternoon. The Marine Tour starts at the Walvis Bay Harbour where we cruise to Pelican Point which is famous for its large Seal Colony of Cape Fur Seals. You will experience the thrill of a few seals joining us on the boat and Dolphins riding the bow of the catamaran. Relax with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine served with fresh oysters and snacks before joining SandWaves for a 4×4 tour into lower Kuiseb Delta Hummock-duned Valley, Salt Pans and the Namib-Naukluft Park “where ocean and desert come together”. Our last stop is the Sandwich Harbour Lagoon. A drive across the dunes allows for beautiful photographs and adds a lot of excitement to the tour.
